ANDRE BRAUGHER REACTS TO THE MIST
Andre Braugher analyzes how his attorney character can’t convince trapped people to escape the mist. |
Andre Braugher stars as the local lawyer at odds with the town’s celebrity artist played by Thomas Jane who finally have it out when they are trapped together in The Mist. |
Andre says the people in the supermarket are meeting their fate, despite the rational mind of his attorney, as even he can’t argue against the unknown monsters lurking in the mist. |
“I think the law sort of stands up as a bright shining light in this film, the logic and the reasonable response seem to be a lamp to guide the way but they utterly fail. Norton is lost in the mist and that quote unquote sane response seems to be ineffective to what’s out in the mist. Religious extremism seems to be also ineffective against what’s out there in the mist. We eventually wind up devouring ourselves inside the supermarket.” |
As a kid Andre didn’t imagine monsters under his bed, but rather ghosts lurking in the hallway. |
“Or ghost-like things you know. Every kid wakes up, it’s always the night terrors. It’s always the same thing. You know something reaching out of the dark to grab you. As a kid that’s always been that. It’s always been that long spooky trip to the bathroom in the middle of the night.” |
Andre is currently filming another sci-fi project involving the attack of an entire town, The Andromeda Strain, this time for the small screen as a miniseries for television. |
