ROCK OF HELTAH SKELTAH FACING ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGES

Rock of Heltah Skeltah accused of shooting a pimp in Brooklyn….

Rapper Rock, of Heltah Skeltah and the Boot Camp Clik, has been charged with attempted murder. He was involved in an early morning dispute two weeks ago with a man who is allegedly affiliated with the Bloods street gang and a pimp. During the altercation, the unidentified man was shot and left paralyzed from the neck down. According to authorities, the dispute was over a lady of the night.

Rock, who was charged with attempted murder and assault, is being held in lieu of $125,000 bail.

“Yeah we got a new Boot Camp album we’re working on it right now. We just working hard man. We just working on… We just got studio time and we go in and do what we feel as long as we get s**t done.”

Rock and Sean Price released two albums as Heltah Skeltah, 1996’s Nocturnal and 1998’s Magnum Force, before going on an unofficial hiatus. The duo is scheduled to release a reunion album, D.I.R.T., this summer.

During the hiatus, Rock recorded Planet Rock for Priority Records in 2000, but he severed his ties with the label. After a trip to Los Angeles, Rock hooked up with Limp Bizkit’s DJ Lethal (formerly of House Of Pain) and signed with his Interscope-distributed Lethal Records imprint. The project was eventually shelved.

In addition to the new Heltah Skeltah album, Price explained that the Boot Camp Clik is working on a new album. He said,
