Chiodos talk about their current tour with Linkin Park and Coheed and Cambria and why they are checking off a few life goals along the way |
Chiodos, who are currently performing on one of the hottest tours around with Linkin Park and Coheed and Cambria are fulfilling a few life goals along the way. The six piece band from Michigan are touring in support of their second full length album, “Bone Palace Ballet,” which debuted at #5 on the Billboard 200 and #1 on Top Independent Albums and the band could easily be headlining their own tour. In fact, when the band was approached to join the tour by Linkin Park, they immediately decided to cancel Festival dates in Australia and arrange their itinerary so they could hit the road with Linkin Park and Coheed and Cambria. |
We caught up with Matt Goddard and Jason Hale of Chiodos to get their thoughts on what a good decision it was for the band to join the tour with Linkin Park and Coheed and Cambria. |
“Um, well since we were… ‘Lexington; is coming out, and we’re pushing the song on radio. We thought it was in our best interest to stay in the ‘States and tour. Sorry Australia. They were pretty angry.” |
We also talked with Chiodos about fulfilling life goals by performing in sold out shows at Madison Square Garden in New York and Staples Center in Los Angeles. |
“It was so ridiculous. That’s like a life goal. Check it. It’s awesome. Gotta check it off the list. It’s Bucket insane. The Bucket List? (laughs) Stupid movie (laughs).” |
Chiodos is on the tour until March 10 in Sacramento, California. They’ll then head to Texas for the South By Southwest festival, headline a few dates, as well as play Bamboozle in New Jersey and Bamboozle Left in California. |
