KATY PERRY ATTENDS GYM CLASS

Katy Perry has been tabbed as one of the break-out artists of 2008, and the photogenic artist has already been featured in various magazines. If she looks familiar she probably is. She makes a cameo in the “Cupid’s Chokehold” video by Gym Class Heroes.

Perry talks about how she got involved in the video.

“Well, I know Travis. Actually I met him two years ago here in New York City, and he was recording that record, and I was recording a record with the same producer. But he was, like, in the corner doing lyrics for his record, and I was, like, in the other room finishing a song, but we were using the same producrer at time. We were all just wrapping up. We just became friends and just stayed in touch, and he came out to LA and said, ‘I need a cute girl to be in a music video,’ I said, ‘OK, I’ll do it,’ and I didn’t really know that it would be so big or I’d be that girl in the ‘Cupid’s Chokehold’ video. I love him, cool.”

Perry can be seen in her own video for “Ur So Gay,” which is playing on her website and also on her Myspace page. Her still untitled album hits stores June 10, and fans can see her on this year’s Warped Tour.
