PARAMORE WILL LOOK TO RECORD NEW ALBUM WHEN THEY’RE READY
Paramore discuss getting into the studio to record their highly anticipated follow up to ‘Riot!’ |
Rising to an enormous amount of success on the strength of their sophomore album, Riot! Paramore will no doubt look to build on their momentum and the band will hopefully get into the studio sometime after 2008’s busy touring schedule to begin recording what will undoubtedly be one of the most anticipated albums in a few years. The band, who originally hail from Tennessee, saw Riot! spawn the hits “Misery Business” and “CrushCrushCrush” and they will look to take their music to markets they haven’t hit yet before starting work on the next album. |
We caught up with brothers Zac and Josh Farro to get their thoughts on when the band will begin recording their next album. |
“We’re touring right now and we’re just going to continue touring for the rest of the year. Whenever we feel like we have some songs, we’re just going to finish the year out and tour because we still feel like ‘Riot!’ has a lot left in it and so we’re going to hit markets we haven’t ever hit. Like Latin America and stuff like that. We’re just going to finish touring and then whenever we feel like it…We haven’t really discussed it or made any new songs. We kind of joked around in soundcheck and made some, I don’t know, little tunes or whatever but nothing like too serious. There will be a new CD here in the next year sometime or the next two.” |
Paramore will next perform two headlining spots at the Give it a Name Festival in the U.K. on May 10th and 11th. The band will then perform more festival shows in Europe for June before heading back to the U.S. to perform on the Vans Warped Tour once again this summer. Paramore will be headlining the Warped Tour July 1st in St Louis, Missouri and finish off their run July 6th in Houston, Texas. Look for Paramore at the Virgin Mobile Festival on August 9th performing alongside The Foo Fighters, Jack Johnson, Wilco and The Offspring. |
