SAVING ABEL LOOKING FORWARD TO PUDDLE OF MUDD
Saving Abel is currently headlining, but in July they’re touring with Puddle Of Mudd, and singer Jared Weeks talks about his future tour mates. |
Saving Abel, who own the Number Two song at Active Rock radio with “Addicted” will be heading out on the road with Puddle Of Mudd starting July 5 in Biloxi, Mississippi. The track has also been sneaking up the Alternative chart creeping up one spot to Number 14, according to Radio & Records. The band’s self-titled album is in stores, and it is garnering a 3 Doors Down meets Puddle Of Mudd comparison. |
Vocalist Jared Weeks said he’s very much a fan of Wes Scantlin and crew. |
“We are totally excited about that, man. Wes Scantlin, dude, I grew up listening to him! I got to meet him for the first time in Memphis at the….93x fest, but it was at the amphitheater and it was one week after he got kicked out of Graceland for jumping into the swimming pool. What better way to go out. He was totally supportive. I was really excited to meet him. I was like a kid in a candy shop. I was like, ‘Really (claps)?’ We’re totally excited about it. We’ve heard lots of good stories. Some of our friends from Deepfields have been touring with them for a couple of years and they say it’s been really great. So we’re going to bring the music to that genre of people.” |
Puddle Of Mudd also remains strong on both charts with their latest song, “Psycho.” Meanwhile, Saving Abel has headline dates throughout June with a big Texas swing for the remainder of the month. After early July shows in Milwaukee and then Atlanta, it’s off to the Puddle Of Mudd tour. |
