LINKIN PARK PROJECT REV COHESIVE?
Despite the on-stage collaborations for Projekt Revolution 2008, rumblings are it’s not as cohesive as one would be led to believe. |
There have been rumblings on this year’s Projekt Revolution that the tour may not be as cohesive as advertised. While Cornell, Linkin Park, and even Busta Rhymes have intermingled on the tour, several other of the lesser known bands have been feeling a little left out. |
We asked Mike Shinoda and bassist Phoenix about the cohesiveness of this year’s tour as compared to years past. |
“I got a… I was in an interview with somebody yesterday that said, ‘This is the most cohesive Projekt Revolution yet.’ It’s so funny how people take in music and art differently. We love, I love Projekt Rev, and I love being able to put together such a long list of diverse talent. Just being able to get on stage and do some stuff with Street Drum Corps and do some stuff with Chris Cornell each night, that’s great. Last year when we would play with My Chemical Romance they and Taking Back Sunday were calling it Summer Camp because it’s just a good vibe, everyone was just chilling, playing good shows, having fun, and hopefully that translates when it comes to a fan’s experience when they come to the show.” |
One of the other reasons that the tour has been suspect this year is the mysterious disappearance of Busta Rhymes from the tour. Rumor has it that his argument with Jimmy Iovine that caused him to be dropped from Interscope figured prominently in the decision. Projekt Revolution wraps up August 24th at The Woodlands in Texas.rn |
