STAIND VS THE JONAS BROTHERS
Staind are looking for their fourth straight Number One debut, but we asked them about achieving it despite The Jonas Brothers. |
Staind is going for their fourth consecutive Number One album with The Illusion of Progress, but they’re under no illusion of achieving that feat. The reason? The new release by the Jonas Brothers, whose new album A Little Bit Longer is expected to drop in sales, but not so much to relinquish control of the top slot. Perhaps the rock world can save the band on Monday and Tuesday, which are the last days to measure the week’s sales. |
We asked the band about the likelihood of getting their fourth consecutive Number One album. |
[Aaron Lewis] “You know, it’s not gonna happen so why not be realistic about it.” [Mike Mushok] “It would have been nice, but you know what? I don’t think any of us thought we would have a number one record, so to have three has been great.” [Lewis] “We’re perfectly happy with that.” [Mushok] “We just did the best we could to make the best record we could.” |
The band recently played the Ambassadors Of Rock/Save The Music event in New York City, and they’re currently on a North American tour with 3 Doors Down. The band will hit Europe with Nickelback in September. |
