INNERPARTYSYSTEM TAKES SHOT AT POP CULTURE
Innerpartysystem’s new song “Don’t Stop” takes a shot at the pop culture values that pervade the United States and the modern world. |
Innerpartysystem is currently on tour with Mindless Self Indulgence, and their sound, which recalls the good old days of heavy electronic music brought to the fore front by Nine Inch Nails and Ministry in the early ’90s, albeit with a pop sensibility. |
Innerpartysystem’s new single “Don’t Stop” is already a hit overseas, and synth player Jesse Croman and guitarist Kris Barman talked about what inspired that single. |
[Croman] “It’s just basically a satire on how s–tty the media can be, and how they falsely portray certain people and certain actions that these people do as the best thing ever. So many people are completely enticed by this false behavior.” [Barman] “…and sometimes how people get more involved with that than with things that really matter in the world.” |
The band’s self-titled album is set for release September 9, and the band’s next offering in the U.K. is “Die Tonight Live Forever.” They’ll be on the road through October splitting time between headlining dates and support for Mindless Self Indulgence. |
