AVENGED SEVENFOLD POSTPONE BUCKCHERRY DATES DUE TO ILLNESS
Buckcherry talk about Avenged Sevenfold postponing their tour and when fans can expect to see the two bands out together on the road. |
Buckcherry, having released their latest album ‘Black Butterfly’ were getting ready to hit the road on a dual headlining tour with Avenged Sevenfold until it was recently announced that Avenged Sevenfold’s lead vocalist M Shadows has a case of vocal fatigue. Shadows first experienced vocal problems during the band’s show on September 6th in Huntington, West Virginia. After being unable to perform the next night at a show in Baltimore, Maryland Shadows flew home to see his doctor, who diagnosed vocal fatigue. Fortunately there is nothing on Shadows’ vocal chords that requires surgery, but he has been prescribed vocal rest so the band was forced to postpone the tour with Buckcherry. |
We caught up with Josh Todd and Keith Nelson of Buckcherry on the day the news broke about M Shadows to find out if they would be touring with Avenged Sevenfold in the future and if they thought about a replacement until Avenged Sevenfold can get back on the road. |
“Some of those dates are just going to be us and Shinedown is still on the bill. We hope that everything works out with M Shadows. It’s something that just a few weeks of rest sounds like and he’ll be back up to speed. We definitely talking about doing more dates later in the year and picking up what would have been the second half of the tour with those guys. So, it’s just a little hic up in the game plan. We definitely going to be out, as of tomorrow working and playing. We just trying to find the right guy to have out and spend maybe a couple of weeks with us to do the that. There’s been talk of that we just have to execute.” |
Buckcherry released “Black Butterfly” on September 16th and the band is currently touring in support of the new album. The second half of the tour will resume on October 15th in Osaka, Japan, and if all goes well with M Shadows recovery, Avenged Sevenfold will be back touring the U.S. with Buckcherry, Shinedown and Saving Abel starting on November 4th in Casper, Wyoming. |
