Talladega Nights put the Shake And Bake on its competition, Pirates Of the Caribbean, to become the Number One selling DVD last week. The DVD also came in at Number Three once again on the Blockbuster video rentals chart, and the disc continued to be a popular rental in the holiday season. |
It’s a spiritual time of the year, and one memorable scene had Will Ferrell saying a prayer to Jesus. In an interview in character as Ricky Bobby, he talked about his favorite kind of Jesus. |
“I kind of have a soft spot for the baby Jesus. That’s just me. I’m not trying to cut down the other types of Jesus’ like teenage Jesus, or young adolescent, kind of almost a man Jesus, or barefoot Jesus, or last supper Jesus. All those Jesus’ are fantastic, They’re great choices, but for me it’s just like… It’s apples and oranges. I just like the baby Jesus best because he’s cute and adorable and holy at the same time.” |
In rental revenue alone, Talladega Nights earned a whopping $10.4 million. The movie is several laps behind Pirates Of The Caribbean, which is on track to become the most successful live-action DVD ever. |
