BLINK 182 COMMUNICATING, REUNION NEXT?
After the horrendous plane crash of Travis Barker, the members of Blink 182 are communicating, and could a a reunion be next? |
Former Blink 182 members Travis Barker, Mark Hoppus, and Tom Delonge are apparently communicating again after not speaking for close to three years post-breakup. It took a near death plane crash experienced by Travis Barker to get the trio communicating again. Barker has been in a band with Mark Hoppus, +44, and Delonge has since gone on to form Angels And Airwaves. Hoppus wrote on his blog, “We’re just reconnecting as friends after four years of not talking…Does this mean a Blink-182 reunion?’ The answer is none of us know. We haven’t talked about it at all. Right now it’s just good for the three of us to see one another, reconnect and let the past be the past. the events of the past two months supersede everything that happened before. life is too short.” |
The band was also drawn together by the death of their producer Jerry Finn. In an interview a few years back Barker was asked if he’d be open to communication from Mr. Delonge. |
“Um, maybe if it was in person and it was under the right circumstances. Definitely not over the phone. For all we know it could be an imposter using his voice, or him not wanting to talking to us. It would have to be in person, but I’m not looking forward to that anytime soon.” |
Meanwhile, Blink 182 will be featured in a film about modern punk music called One Nine Nine Four. It is scheduled for release some time next year. Skateboard legend Tony Hawk will narrate the film, which will also focus on Rancid, Green Day, and The Offspring. |
