While Linda McCartney has left this earth she hasn’t strayed very far from Paul’s heart, despite his new relationship. McCartney came back to the press room during the pre-awards ceremony thrilling members of the media. |
The former Beatle talked about his shirt, which depicted the fab four with red clown noses superimposed. |
“Talk about what? My shirt? This is a shirt which is designed by my daughter Stella for comic relief, which is a charity in England, and the original picture was taken by (my late wife) Linda, so it’s a family affair. I’m very proud of it. Get yours from March 13 onwards. Comic Relief, they do loads and loads of great work with Children and AIDS. It’s a really good charity.” |
Paul McCartney performed The Beatles’ “I Saw Her Standing There” with special guest drummer Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters. The tune was nominated in the Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance category, but lost out to John Mayer’s “Gravity.” |
