CHRIS CORNELL SCREAMS WITH TIMBALAND
Chris Cornell is set to release his 3rd solo album “Scream” and he shares his thoughts about working with super producer Timbaland |
Former lead vocalist for Soundgarden and Audioslave, Chris Cornell is set to release his third solo album “Scream” on March 10th and it will be his follow up solo album to 2007’s “Carry On.” For “Scream” Cornell worked with super producer Timbaland in studio sessions that would start at 1am and wouldn’t end until sunrise. Timbaland, who has also produced material with Missy Elliott, Justin Timberlake, Ludacris and Madonna in his past, pushed Cornell into a clear departure from his previous songs and marks a turning point in the singer’s storied career. |
Artisan News caught up with Chris Cornell to get his thoughts on what a great experience it was working with Timbaland. |
“It was great. It was fantastic. The process of recording was different than anything I’ve ever done. The process of writing was different and from day one it was a great experience.” |
Chris Cornell has announced the first leg of his 2009 U.S. Spring tour with dates beginning March 28th in Dallas and extending until April 19th in Chicago. Look for more dates to be announced in the near future. |
