FILTER SHARES VERY BEST THINGS
Filter and Rhino Records are teaming up for the band’s first retrospective, The Very Best Things, which comes out next week. |
Filter is set to release their first retrospective, The Very Best Things (1995 to 2008), on March 31 via Rhino Records. The collection features the band’s hits and tracks featured in movies and TV series. Vocalist and songwriter Richard Patrick has had many configurations of the band, and it delivered several hits including “Hey Man Nice Shot,” “Take A Picture,” and “Jurassitol.” |
The former member of Nine Inch Nails talked about what realizations he came to when compiling The Very Best Things. |
“I wish there were more… I wish there were more records. I wish I had done more with Filter. I wanna make this like an amazingly… I just want to be prolific. I wanna keep going and work harder. Some of these songs are like twelve years old. It’s bizarre that they’ve been around that long. I just want to continue making more music. It was an inspiration actually.” |
After teaming with Stone Temple Pilots Deleo brothers for the band Army Of Anyone, Patrick went back to Filter and released the Iraq War inspired Anthems For The Damned. Patrick is working on a brand new Filter album, which he hopes to have done later this year. |
