CYPRESS HILL GOING AGAINST THE GRAIN ON UPCOMING NEW ALBUM
Cypress Hill are in the mixing stage of their upcoming album and B Real talks about the album being an agressive Hip Hop album for the fans |
Having recently completed his first solo album “Smoke n Mirrors” rapper B Real of Cypress Hill reveals the band is currently in the mixing stage of their upcoming new album. The new album will be the bands follow up album to 2004’s “Till Death Do Us Part” which debuted at #21 on the Billboard Top 200 Chart. As B Real, Sen Dog, Eric Bobo and DJ Muggs are hard at work on the album, Cypress Hill fans continue to wait patiently for the band to release a new album filled with their original blend of Latin Hip Hop, which has catapulted the band into the biggest selling Latin Hip Hop act in history. |
We caught up with B Real in the studio during the mixing of his solo album to get an update on the upcoming Cypress Hill album and what fans can expect. |
“We’re actually currently mixing the album right now so we’re going to try to get it out later on this year. We’re close to done pretty much ninety percent done. So, it’s going to be a really good album. Really aggressive, raw Hip Hop and a couple of different things here and there but that’s what we do. We try to go against the grain.” |
“Smoke n Mirrors” was recently released via B Real’s label Audio Hustlaz and as of press time the only tour date for B Real will be headlining the Paid Dues Independent Hip Hop Festival in Southern California on March 28th. Look for Cypress Hill to have their as of yet untitled album to be released by the end of 2009. Cypress Hill does have two shows booked as of press time. Both will take place on April 20th at the legendary Fillmore in San Francisco. One show will be an afternoon performance followed by a night time show. Cypress Hill invite all their fans to join them in lighting up on 4/20. |
