TAKING BACK SUNDAY HAS LOONEY HOMETOWN IN-STORE
Taking Back Sunday visits hometown record store Looney Tunes on Long Island to promote the June release of New Again. |
Taking Back Sunday returned home to Long Island at Looney Tunes in West Babylon, New York earlier this month to play their forthcoming album New Again for fans and sign promo posters. New Again will be released June 2, and it’s their first release since 2006’s Louder Now and the departure of Fred Mascherino. The store was the band’s first stop that will take them to Bamboozle and then off to other promo dates in the Northeastern USA. |
The band formed in Amityville, on the Island, and we asked about the response despite the album being over a month away. |
[Matt] “Well, we’ve always kind of started each tour or each record in Long Island in as fitting a way as possible. It’s like a tradition of ours at this point. It was great to see so many people come out and be excited about ‘New Again,’ so it’s a really fun afternoon, so far.” |
Taking Back Sunday replaced Mascherino with guitarist Matt Fazzi. The first single from the album is “Sink Into Me.”rn |
