BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE JUMP AT THE CHANCE TO PLAY MAYHEM FEST
Bullet for My Valentine discuss the opportunity to play on The Mayhem Fest in 2009, although they are missing a few things |
The Mayhem festival has kicked off it’s second year bringing Metal music to the masses and 2009 features performances from Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Trivium and Bullet for My Valentine to name just a few. With 3 stages plus a different Jaegermeister battle of the bands winner at each stop, fans get to experience a wide range of music in a short amount of time. Plus with Ozzfest taking a break in 2009, Metal fans will surely be gravitating towards The Mayhem Festival. |
Artisan News caught up with Bullet for My Valentine to get their thoughts on jumping at the chance to tour on The Mayhem Festival and what they miss most when they’re on the road and away from home. |
“As soon as we got asked really, as soon as we found out the bill and where we would be playing and stuff we just jumped at the chance. I like being on the road. I love touring then I always say I want to go home and once I’m home, I’m home for a day and I say I want to go back out on tour. So it’s kind of more touring for me otherwise I’ll get in trouble if I’m home for too long I guess. I do miss my mothers cooking. That’s probably the worst thing. Oh, I miss my kids as well.” |
A few of the others bands on The Mayhem Festival are Mushroom Head, The Back Dahlia Murder, All That Remains, Behemoth and God Forbid. Tour dates extend until August 15th in Dallas, Texas. After the conclusion of the tour, Bullet for My Valentine will look to get back into the studio to continue working on their next album, which will be the bands follow up to 2008’s “Scream Aim Fire” which debuted at #4 on The Billboard Top 200 Chart. |
