JANES ADDICTION WRITING NEW MUSIC, BUT WITH ORIGINAL FOUR
Billy Idol, Jane’s Addiction, Devo, Duff McKagan, and Beastie Boys Ad Rock highlight CBGB Festival this weekend, details here! |
It appears Jane’s Addiction have entered the studio to begin writing songs for what will be the band’s 4th studio album together and first since 2003’s “Strays.” The original lineup of Jane’s Addiction, which features vocalist Perry Farrell, guitarist Dave Navarro, drummer Stephen Perkins and bassist Eric Avery, regrouped in the fall of 2008 and even entered the studio to work on a new album. Eric Avery’s participation in the new recording is extremely unclear after missing a recent Jane’s Addiction gig on New Year’s Eve and his absence from a recent band photo as well his recent Twitter post that read, “FYI, to answer the question directly, I am not writing with Jane’s Addiction.” |
Just before hosting the Guitar Center Drum Off, Stephen Perkins talked about his hopes of being productive with Jane’s Addiction in the studio once again. |
Jane’s Addiction will be touring Australian with dates beginning Feb 20th in Brisbane and extending until March 1st in Perth and it is unkown of Avery will take part in the tour. |
