311 ANNOUNCE MORE DATES, ADD TO SETLISTS
311 has announced more tour dates. The band now will be on the road through December 13 and 14, winding down with two shows in Los Angeles. The bill features “special guests,” and fans are giving their special guess as to who the band will be. |
Not only will 311 be playing more cities, they’ll also be playing more off their latest effort Don’t Tread On Me, which features the Number One Alternative song in the collection’s title track. Vocalist Nick Hexum and bassist P-Nut talk about easing fans into the new stuff. |
[Hexum] “Over 200. Like, what’s our song count now? [P-nut] “It’s got to be close to that, yeah.” [Hexum] “Well since the record first came out, we’re kind of working ’em in. We’ll do like, four or five new ones out of our set tonight, and when we do our regular show in the next couple of days we’ll add more and more. Because people love to hear the new songs, but they don’t go off, they don’t move around as much because they’re more just listening. So we kind of rotate back and forth between an old classic that’s going go get them crazy and then throwing something new at them they’ll be just more listening.” |
311’s Hexum has one word of advice to fans who want to hear obscure or early material. He advises fans to post the requests on the post-board on the band’s website so the band has a chance to rehearse them. He adds that last minute requests at the shows are not accepted. |
