30 SECONDS TO MARS LETO DUALITY

30 Seconds To Mars has successfully released their sophomore album, A Beautiful Lie, on Virgin Records, and the band is set to release their next single, “The Kill,” which follows in the footsteps of “Attack.”

The vocalist for 30 Seconds to Mars is actor Jared Leto, who has been hailed for his roles in “Requiem For A Dream” and “Panic Room.” Leto told us he doesn’t view himself as an actor or a musician.

“I just do what I do and I’m just very grateful and proud to be able to do both. I think the most challenging thing is to find time. It’s plotting and planning on how you’re going to be able to enjoy both experiences and be able to do them well. And I think the biggest accomplishment that we’ve made is being the exception to the rule, is being a legitimate example of somebody who has some duality in two different careers and doing them well and not being embarrassignly bad. We’re very proud that we’ve broken through that stereotype that is so strong out there. It’s incredible that… It took a lot of work a lot of commitment and consistency, but we’re very proud of that.”

Leto is set to portray Mark David Chapman, the criminal who gunned down John Lennon, for the film Chapter 27. The film also stars his girlfriend Lindsay Lohan.

Leto formed 30 Seconds To Mars with his brother Shannon, and it recently completed two sold-out dates at New York’s Avalon.
