30 Seconds To Mars is set to perform at the first West Coast offering of the Bamboozle Festival October 15 in Pomona, California. The festival is actually a two day event starting the day before (October 14) called “Bamboozle, Left” and it also features Thrice, Dashboard Confessional, Jack’s Mannequin and others.

30 Seconds To Mars has been on an extensive tour, and the band says they’re willing to do what it takes to get their new record, A Beautiful Lie, across to fans across the country.

“We were signed in ’98. This has been a long time coming and a lot of people are still discovering it, and that’s great. It’s still growing, and if it wasn’t, we probably wouldn’t be still out here. It would be very difficult to be doing that, to do what we were doing if there wasn’t still excitement and growth surrounding 30 Seconds To Mars. We have our sights set high, we’re very proud to be a band that people have been able to look beyond sterotypes. We have our sights set much higher than that. We’re carrying the flag in one small way trying to help the salvation of rock and roll, which is a dying breed out there.”

In what has become a slow and steady climb for Jaret Leto and 30 Seconds To Mars, their single, “The Kill,” has climbed all the way to Number 5 on the Alternative Airplay charts across America.
