3 DOORS DOWN ROCK OUT OF THE BOX
3 Doors Down’s first single from their forthcoming album “It’s Not My Time,” has conquered all of rock radio, and the Brad Arnold talks strong starts. |
3 Doors Down’s self-titled album will be out May 27, and the band is enjoying phenomenal success with the lead track, “It’s Not My Time.” The single is currently at Number 10 on the Alternative Rock chart, Number Three on the Rock chart, and Number Four on the Active Rock chart. |
Brad Arnold was asked why they chose “It’s Not My Time” as the first single from the new album. |
“We decided that ‘It’s Not My Time’ should be the first single for a variety of reasons. I think for one, we did want to come out of the box strong, and we wanted a rock song to be out first. But we also wanted a song that could go over to Top 40 as well. Every single that we’ve ever put out first on a record has been a song that we wrote on a tour of a prior record. I think we do that as a subconscious security blanket. But nonetheless we did come out of the box a little stronger this time, and we’re just happy to have a good rock song out there right now.” |
He also talked about the new album, and kicking it off with the hard rock song “Train.” |
“‘Train’ was just the logical choice put it the first of the record because it just slams. I told somebody a couple of days ago a show, I said, ‘You know what? When you finally get the record, when you get it put it in your car and just go and crank it all the way up before you push play.’ That’s what I wanted to do. That song, it really starts off, and it just kicks in. You know you’re about to listen to a rock record when you listen to that song.” |
3 Doors Down has sold over 13 million albums worldwide since their inception in the late ’90s. The band will be kicking off the Indy Race Car season on March 29th at the Homestead Miami Speedway, and on May 17th Dale Jr. will drive his third 3 Doors Down car in NASCAR’s All Star Race at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. |
