3 DOORS DOWN REPRESENTS KATRINA AND SOUTH ON MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
3 Doors Down played Giants Stadium on Monday night (September 19), but the band wasn’t the main attraction. They performed at halftime during the National Football League contest between the New Orleans Saints and the New York Giants.< |
3 Doors Down hails from just outside of Biloxi, Mississippi, where most of the hurricane damage occurred, and the band tried to give the New Orleans Saints, who were designated the home team, a post hurricane lift as well as to give the New York fans a heartfelt rendition of “Here By Me.” |
The New York Giants wound up winning the game 27 to 10. The New Orleans Saints will have to play the entire season on the road, and there’s wide speculation that the team owner will relocate the franchise to San Antonio, Texas. |
Meanwhile, 3 Doors Down are on a short hiatus before heading out on another tour leg in support of their album, Seventeen Days. |
