3 DOORS DOWN INDIRECTLY SLAGS STAPP
3 Doors Down have been touring with Alter Bridge, which is the other members of Creed without Scott Stapp. Creed ended a few years back because singer Scott Stapp had become unmanageable. After an alleged drunken performance on New Year’s Eve turning from 2002 to 2003, the band never played again. |
Stapp is set to release his solo record, and the other three members including Mark Tremonti went on to form Alter Bridge with singer Myles Kennedy. We asked 3 Doors Down, who were good friends of Creed if they learned anything from the negative experiences that went on in that band. |
“Definitely.” “Most definitely. You see how one guy can really mess something up because the rest of that band, they’re all such great guys. [Guitarist Mark] Tremonti and [singer] Myles [Kennedy] came up on stage and played ‘Live For Today’ with us actually a couple of times. It was killer. But Scott, man. He just ruined that band with his attitude. It just shows what can happen.” |
Stapp has been known to get into it with other rockers. He and Limp Bizkit’s Fred Durst had a spat, and currently Stapp is challenging Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl. |
Meanwhile, 3 Doors Down added that they’re too far beyond any internal politics because they’ve all known each other since they were kids. |
