3 DOORS DOWN HIT SILVER SCREEN
3 Doors Down have hit the silver screen, but they didn’t exactly star in a movie to do it. |
3 Doors Down is still excited about their silver screen debut. No they didn’t star in an actual movie, they filmed a theater spot for the U.S. National Guard. In fact they liked the song “Citizen Soldier” so much it will appear on their May 27th self-titled album. |
Brad Arnold said that the song was actually written four years ago. |
“The music to that song was written probably about four years ago and when the National Guard approached us to write that song, we had that music pre-existing and it was pretty easy to go back and put lyrics to.” |
Arnold shared what his lyrical inspiration was for the tune. |
“We saw the ‘Citizen Soldier’ as a chance to support our troops utmost. A lot of the inspiration actually came from conversations I had with the coloniel in the National Guard. He just told us the points to hit on. Once you have the points to hit on it’s way easier to go in and write about that topic. I was thankful to have those conversations with him, and I’m so proud of that song.” |
3 Doors Down’s first single from the album is “It’s My Time,” and we’ll have plenty more from the singer as the album release gets closer. Meanwhile, the song is at Number 10 on the Alternative Rock chart, Number Three on the Rock chart, and Number Four on the Active Rock chart. |
