In 2005 Warped Tour did another great job of breaking two bands, Avenged Sevenfold and Fall Out Boy, while launching one, My Chemical Romance, into superstardom. The bands have all played Warped before and they’re very supportive of each other. |

[The Rev] “We were hanging out with Transplants and Opiate For The Masses…”[Johnny Christ] “The Offspring. Dexter actually took us out on his plane, which was really cool.” [The Rev] He flew us around in his Jet. You know what? It lasted about an hour. He flies around in his Jet. [Johnny Christ] “We actually went back in time because we were crossing over a time zone, so we ended up getting there fifteen minutes earlier than we had left.” [The Rev] “Yeah, no, it’s amazing.” [Christ] He’s a really nice guy, [Offspring guitarist] Noodles and everything, we hung out with all those guys. “I definitely feel we gel with a lot of the bands. We really get along with My Chemical Romance pretty well. They’re like a band that we’re the most similar to in where we are in the world — not as far as music or anything like that. We gel with a lot of ’em. We gel with a lot of other bands too: Transplants Acadamy Is, Motion City Soundtrack, The Starting Line, Senses Fail. There’s a lot of bands we really get along with, so…” |
And while My Chemical Romance had a great run, Fall Out Boy may have passed them by receiving the nomination for Best New Artist at the upcoming 48th Grammy Awards. |
