Green Day was the real story of 2005. With their American Idiot album only building steam at the close of 2004, the band won at almost every award show from the Billboard Awards to the MTV Awards, and a Grammy Award for Best Rock Album. |
The band has now set its sights on a full-length movie of the album, not to be confused with the epic video, “Jesus Of Suburbia.” Both vocalist Billie Joe Armstrong and bassist Mike Dirnt acknowledge that the album is a concept album, and they both talk about the movie based on the collection. |
“We’re meeting with writers right now and its a work in progress right now and hopefully stoon we’ll have something that we can start doing.” |

Green Day is once again up for Grammy Awards in 2005. “Boulevard Of Broken Dreams” is up for Record Of The Year. Green Day is also looking to hop into the studio in 2006 to write a new album. |
